The Importance if Saying “I Love You.”

“Tell your child how much you love them and why.”

Saying those three special words can be the most powerful tool you’ve got. Specifically telling children that they are loved is sometimes all they need to hear. You’re their best friend, their confidante, and you’ve got their best interests in mind, no matter what.

In fact, children need to hear the words frequently to ensure they are secure in their attachments and to boost their self-esteem. Saying, “I love you,” cannot happen enough; as you drop them for school, just before bed or by leaving them a note in their lunch box.

Telling children you love them lets them know who to trust, it tells them they are valuable and gives them courage. Love allows children to grow, to make mistakes and to take away fear.

Your love is the safety net that will cushion their fall when all else seems lost.
