Distance Learning – Week 1

As of last month, 165 countries had closed schools nationwide, impacting over 1.5 billion children and youth.

There is also still great uncertainty as to when schools will reopen.

Thankfully, these days, there are many free (or low-cost), easy-to-use digital communication tools that allow for a range of remote learning solutions.

This is where distance learning comes in.

Correspondence education or home study, is a form of education where there is little or no face-to-face interaction between students and their instructors. Distance learning students usually study from home, instead of attending physical classes.

Not all learning is academic. Practical life involves learning how to live, learning how to be human and navigate this thing we call life.
